As a first-generation Cuban American, he has dedicated himself to creating opportunities and empowering others in every endeavor. Believing that home ownership is a fundamental American privilege, he sees it as a pathway to freedom and empowerment for all individuals.

His father, a former member of the Cuban national baseball team, arrived in Miami in 1964 after a perilous journey at sea. Starting with nothing, he leveraged community support and his entrepreneurial spirit to establish a successful construction business. Witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of freedom on one's mindset, spirit, and career, he learned invaluable lessons early in life.

Initially aspiring to a career in baseball, he shifted gears to study accounting in college, later transitioning to finance. Recognizing finance as the strategic backbone of business, he embarked on a career that initially focused on stocks before pivoting to mortgages following the dot-com crash, inspired by his father's background in construction.

Starting as a loan officer at Mortgage Now and later becoming a mortgage broker at Global Mortgage, he excelled, overseeing the top-producing office and closing over 3,000 loans. Identifying a broader opportunity, he co-founded Equity Prime Mortgage (EPM) in 2008 with a vision to further empower individuals and level the playing field in the home buying process.

EPM, under his leadership as CEO, has grown into a licensed mortgage lender operating nationwide with a team of over 500 employees. Specializing in a variety of mortgage products and maintaining Certified Underwriters on staff, EPM focuses on serving first-time home buyers and clients across all financial and credit backgrounds.

His leadership ethos is rooted in living by example, ensuring that EPM's mission to empower others resonates throughout the organization. His achievements include hosting the podcast "Empowering People More," featuring influential guests like Gary Vaynerchuk, and being recognized as part of the Inc. 5000. He has been named among the "40 Most Influential Mortgage Professionals under 40" by National Mortgage Professionals Magazine and holds the prestigious Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation.

Actively involved in industry leadership, he serves as Chairman of MORPAC, participates in the MBA Future Leaders' program as a panelist, and holds a position on the Board of Directors with the MBA. Additionally, he co-chairs the new MBA Affordable Housing Council, furthering his commitment to advancing equitable access to housing opportunities.

Throughout his journey, he remains steadfast in his dedication to transforming lives through homeownership and empowering others to achieve success.
